RedEye Comes to Android

RedEye Android Beta logo

Android fans — we need your help.

We are excited to announce that a beta version of the RedEye app is now available for download from our website. Android support has been our number one request for several months, so we know a lot of you have been waiting for this day to arrive.

The current release supports networked RedEye hardware (RedEye WiFi and RedEye Pro). In addition, if you are setting up a RedEye unit from scratch you will need an iOS device to configure your system.

The beta version RedEye for Android is available exclusively on our website. Visit http://thinkflood.com/support/redeye/android-beta/ for more information.

New Dealer Forums

If you are a RedEye dealer or distributor we want to hear from you.

Forums provide a great way for our dealers and distributors to discuss features, trade success stories, report issues and make recommendations. Join us by sending an email to support@thinkflood.com for more information and to sign-up.

RedEye gen2 and RedEye Pro now shipping

RedEye gen2

The original, award-winning RedEye is in its second generation

The gen2 RedEye features a sleek, all-black enclosure with back-lit logo, but the real improvement is the addition of a 3.5mm (1/8") infrared-out port, which provides more flexibility for customers who keep their components in a cabinet or rack. RedEye gen2 is available for $199 online at http://thinkflood.com/ and through select retailers.

RedEye Pro

RedEye Pro — beyond home theater control

RedEye Pro takes control to the next level, allowing you to manage a wide variety of equipment, including lighting and security systems, HVAC, pumps and sprinklers, and more. Of course RedEye Pro still lets you use whatever device you have handy as a controller, whether it be a PC, a smartphone, or a tablet. You can purchase RedEye Pro from a dealer near you.

RedEye app v2.6.0 coming soon

Version 2.6.0 is pending App store approval. This release introduces the first of a number of new interface controls that work with the scripting engine in RedEye and RedEye Pro. Some highlights include:

  • Custom image controls - backgrounds and buttons
  • Browser application now supports editing of activities
  • Browser application now supports editing of custom variables
  • Browser application now automatically selects last chosen room (on RedEye Pro)

RedEye featured in the April 2011 issue of Financial Times Magazine

"If you want to control all of your home technology devices that use infrared, and don't want to spend thousands… RedEye works, and works well." — Jonathan Margolis
