RedEye for iPad

RedEye app — version 2.0

You’ve been waiting... and the moment has finally arrived.

We are happy to announce that the RedEye app is now fully optimized for iPad customers. Apple approved version 2.0 on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. In addition to iOS 4.2 multi-tasking goodness, support for both portrait and landscape orientation, and iPad-size buttons, here’s what else you can find in the new release:

What’s New in Version Two

  • Ever wonder what’s on TV? Check the hi-res, full-color guide for current programs in your area, save your favorite channels, and more. (Available in U.S. and Canada only — for now.)
    • Download a full, two-day program guide, with color network icons and show descriptions.
    • Create a favorite channels list to avoid scrolling around all day.
    • Assign a TV-watching activity, and RedEye will automatically change channels when you select a program in the guide.
    • Preview detailed episode descriptions, including cast and crew data, closed-captioning information, and more.
  • Even More Control. Configure, manage and use your RedEye from more devices. Own a Wi-Fi RedEye? You now have the ability to setup and control your remote system from any browser on your Wi-Fi network.
    • Operate your RedEye system. Your computer now doubles as a universal remote control.
    • Edit activity layouts
    • Backup your current RedEye configuration.
    • More easily customize your layout... Select and move multiple buttons, align edges automatically or distribute along an axis and more.
    • Choose from nearly 70 different computer keyboard shortcuts and assign them to any button.
    • v2.0 automatically assigns default keyboard shortcuts when you create a new activity.
  • Improved Performance.
    • Extended PC backup time to handle larger configurations.
    • Improved handling of repeating button function for RedEye mini
