A Letter to Our Customers
Wednesday, 20 March 2013
Dear RedEye customers:
It is with heavy heart that I write to inform you that ThinkFlood is closing its doors. We appreciate your patronage and suggestions over the last few years. Together we have been able to bring some real innovation to the remote control and automation market, which is now in the middle of significant changes that will likely continue to transform this industry for some time.
You may be wondering what will happen to RedEye systems that you have purchased. The hardware and applications that you have will continue to function. Certain pieces of licensed technology, such as portions of our device code database and television program guide, will become unavailable as we cease payment and our licenses expire, but in the near term we will endeavor to keep the servers running so that you can finish configuring any RedEye systems that you have.
In addition, we have handed over ThinkFlood’s intellectual property (software, databases, etc) to a creditor, which is now looking for a buyer for this technology. Depending on the results of this search, there may be some future life for the product.
Again, thank you for your support. If you have any questions about this transition period, please feel to reach out to me by email or phone (+1 617-299-2000, x1001).
Sincerely,
Matthew Eagar
President, ThinkFlood, Inc
